Wieliczka Salt works museum ,

- General description:
-
The Wieliczka saltmine offers a large area of very interresting
tours. The buildings above-ground are very much worth a visit. The
touristic trip with a guide takes you in rather large groups through
a touristic part of the mine with sculptures and other objects. Only
recently a very well organised saltmining museum was opened
underground as well. This offers very good insight in the geology,
workingmethods, mine-layout etc, etc. There is an extra charge for
this museum, ask the guide.
